Harry, Pete and Eric aka George, Steve and Ervin were definitely in the top group of kayakers to stay at the Lemon. We had the best fun and great stories from everyone as well as 'story-time' each evening. Despite having been in Uganda nearly a year and a half I had never really been anywhere so we decided to do a safari to Murchison Falls NP. It was easily the best safai I had had in a few years.
First I'll introduce the group, tour leader was myself (I always show my best side for photos). Steve a calm, organised man in the face of our ever disorganised safari and events
George, ever one to take up a suggestion such as stalking giraffe with zeal and Ervin who gave us great hysterity with his stories.
And then there was ... ah no hold on he was not really a part of the full safari!
And off we set through the beautiful Murchison Falls National Park ...
And we spotted all sorts of game, although we did not get photos of all (the leopard for example .. Steve only saw its rear end! Or the lion .. Steve had not quite yet finished putting in his contact lenses!)
Sometimes we relaxed, pretended we had spotted something, had sundowners, played bananagrams
George defended us all
And of course we spent time at the mighty falls themselves, including watching the bats come out on dusk from the cliffs, taking a boat to the foot of the falls (or as close as we were allowed), and showing off!
A fab safari and a great group of people. Great memories.
